Summer 2023 was memorable for our province’s record-breaking number of forest fires.  Introducing our Fire litter:  this group of three kittens was found on Mayne Island along with their momma.  Trapped at 6 weeks of age, the kittens had transitioned to solid food but required socialization. Ember was the largest and most confident of the litter.  He was quick to purr and enjoyed human interaction from the start. His calm and relaxed manner was indispensable in helping his quieter siblings gain confidence during the socialization process.

Sponsored by Rest Q Sanctuary, Ember received weekly weigh-ins, parasite treatment, a series of two vaccinations, wellness checkups, quality kitten food and daily enrichment activities. Microchipped and neutered, Ember was in our care for 66 days.  He joins Nancy and Greg in their home on Salt Spring Island.
