Salt Spring Cat has specialized equipment including an incubator, required to care for these very young kittens. Round the clock feeding, toileting and maintaining a constant heat source are all essential for the kitten’s survival.  We monitor the kittens via nanny cams and record their progress  throughout the day.   Kittens are in our care for an average of 80 days, giving us a unique perspective into selecting the best placement for their furrever home.

Each orphaned kitten receives a cozy blanket  for  comfort when they arrive in our  care, which  go home with each kitten when adopted.  Salt Spring Cat also provides each adopter with a video demonstrating how to trim their kittens nails so they may continue this training.   In addition,  we record each kitten’s development  in a series of images which can be viewed below.
